The results of the Radio 1 annual poll saw the ex Deep Dish member and Grammy Award winner take the hallowed top
spot, beating off stiff competition by Subfocus, Luciano &
Deadmau5, Fake Blood, Gui Boratto, and many more.
Sharam said:
"It's a real
honour to win this prestigious award given the illustrious
list of previous winners and especially as the competition this year
was so tough. This is a testament to my belief that people like their
musical journey varied. I'd like to thank all the listeners around the
world that voted".
